A new level 2 EV charging station has recently been installed at the Centennial Park, thanks to funding from Kootenay Rockies Tourism. The funding is part of the provincial government’s StrongerBC Plan – Targeted Regional Tourism Development Initiative funds (TRTDI).
“The Village of New Denver is celebrating the installation of a Level 2 EV charging station in Centennial Park. Located in what is known locally as the ‘The Orchard,’ the park is a focal point for gathering and recreating in the community. We are excited for EV drivers to visit our community and enjoy the park as well as local nearby amenities, including beaches, trails, playgrounds, Centennial Campground, the Kohan Reflection Garden, and the Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre.”
Leonard Casley, Mayor of New Denver
