Fibre Optic Infrastructure Work Coming to New Denver

The Columbia Basin Broadband Corporation (CBBC) has advised the Village that its contractor, WPT, will be undertaking fibre optic cable installation work within New Denver in the coming months.

CBBC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Columbia Basin Trust created to improve connectivity to Basin communities and rural areas. You can find out more about CBBC online HERE.

The work currently includes Phase 1 service areas only; however, CBBC is hopeful that required permits will be in place to allow Phase 2 work to proceed by the time crews arrive in the community.
