Please note that the Council of the Village of New Denver has cancelled the December 22nd Regular Meeting. The next Regular Meeting of Council will take place on January 12, 2021 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers.

The next regular meeting will take place on September 8, 2020 at 7 PM in Council Chambers behind the Village Office. Meetings are open to the public at a reduced capacity due to COVID-19. Effective July 15, 2020, the Village of New Denver Council meetings will be open to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, with restrictions to ensure compliance with guidelines set by the Provincial Health Officer. Please follow link for full policy.

Tuesday, February 12, 2019 – 7:00 pm: Regular Council Meeting
Please note that the Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 26, 2019 will be CANCELLED as elected officials will be attending training sessions in Kimberly.
Council Meetings are held at 7:00 pm in the Village of New Denver Council Chambers on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. The schedule for 2019 is as follows:

February 12 & 26 August 13 & 27
March 12 & 26 September 10 & 24
April 9 & 23 October 8 & 22
May 14 & 28 November 12 & 26
June 11 & 25 December 10 & 24
In the recent 2018 municipal election, the voters of New Denver elected a new Council, who will be sworn into office at the Inaugural Meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018, in Council Chambers. Regular Meetings of Council will continue to take place at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, in Council Chambers.
New Building Concept Presentation – Bosun Hall
All area residents are invited to attend a presentation of the revised concept building plans for a new Bosun Hall. Two identical presentations are scheduled on October 15, 2018 to improve options to attend.

This study was made possible through the financial contributions of the Columbia Basin Trust and the Village of New Denver.
Next Steps
These final conceptual plans will be received by Council to assist them in community engagement sessions regarding the future of the current building and site.

The annual Obon ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre.
A presentation was held on July 16th, 2018 at the Bosun Hall to view and discuss the feasibility plans for a new building created by Cover Architecture.
The preliminary plans have attempted to resolve all of the priorities and features that were requested during various rounds of consultation with community members and stakeholders.
