The Village of New Denver, supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary consulting team, is undertaking a comprehensive process to develop a new Master Plan for Centennial Park.
In the fall of 2020, the consulting team undertook an extensive site analysis of the park with Village Staff. Public input was then gathered through an online/hard copy community survey in early 2021 and we received over 240 responses! In addition to the Community Survey, we also received 10 park related submissions from residents and stakeholder groups providing input. As the future of Centennial Park truly relates to the youth in the Community, we also connected with the Lucerne Public School (Grades 2-7) for a design charrette. Thanks to everyone who provided input!
The information collected to date has contributed directly to the development of two distinct Centennial Park Concepts that were recently presented in two Community Outreach Sessions April 15th and 18th, 2021 (poster below). A recording of Session 1 is available HERE. If you missed these sessions, it may be helpful to review the first hour of the presentation for an overview of the concepts.
We are now asking for additional feedback. Please review the two Centennial Park Concepts and fill out this short survey, open from April 20 – May 4, 2021. It is important to note that elements from each concept can be used in the Preferred Concept. We appreciate your input to this community driven process.
