COUNCIL PROCEDURE BYLAW NO. 751, 2023
The Village of New Denver Council will be considering the first three readings of Council Procedure Bylaw No. 751, 2023 at their October 10, 2023, Regular Meeting. This bylaw will repeal and replace the current Council Procedure Bylaw No. 713, 2018. The new bylaw proposes many changes including:
- Voting procedures
- Electronic agendas
- Notice to members for special meetings
- COTW meetings dates
- Appointment of Acting Mayor for long-term absences
- Several new definitions
- Allow staff, volunteers, delegations, the public, etc to attend electronically
- Add order of proceedings for the inaugural meeting and public hearings
- Change the order of proceedings for Council meetings
- Remove the section pertaining to delegations, which will now follow a separate policy
