Garbage Collection: Utility billings and garbage tags are mailed to property owners at the start of the year. Residential garbage collection takes place on Tuesdays, beginning at 8:00 AM. Residents are reminded that bags are not to be placed curbside before 6:00 AM. on collection day. All bags must be tagged for pickup – additional tags can be purchased from the Village Office for $4.00 each.
Rosebery Transfer Station (5250 Hwy 6) is operated by the Regional District of Central Kootenay. Metal, construction waste, large appliances, yard waste. For more information see www.rdck.ca or call at 1-800-268-7325. Transfer Station Hours of operation:
- Wednesday & Saturday – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Closed on all Statutory Holidays
Recycling Facilities: The RDCK Recycling Depot in New Denver is located at the intersection of Kootenay Street and Slocan Avenue. Hours of Operation: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. Please direct inquiries to the Regional District of Central Kootenay at 1-800-268-7325 or go to rdck.ca.
